Buy books, help Canyon Hills Library – Orange County Register

The sale will take place on January 20 from noon to 4 p.m. and on January 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in stores.

Learn about health services for seniors

Seniors may find the Anaheim Library’s upcoming virtual presentation “Keeping Healthy with Preventative Medicare Services” especially informative and helpful.

The virtual event is scheduled to start at noon on January 24 and there is no charge to attend.

The online workshop will provide an overview of the various preventative treatment services available to seniors that are covered by Medicare. Many may be unaware of what is available. There are many preventative examinations, injections, tests, screenings, counseling and education which, in many cases, are offered free of charge.

This one-hour workshop will explain these benefits to you.

For those interested in learning more about these services, access the meeting link at: or contact Adult Librarian Lisa Weber at for more information regarding the meeting Zoom.

Talk about books with other adults

The next East Region Libraries Adult Book Discussion is scheduled for noon on January 20 and will be a hybrid event that attendees can attend in person at the Canyon Hills Library or via Zoom.

The January discussion book is “The Immortalists” by Chloe Benjamin. The Friends of Canyon Hills Library has purchased copies of this book which are available at the branch.
