Two candidates from Maharashtra have won the intermediate CA exam held in May, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced on Thursday. Rajan Kabra from Aurangabad dominated the CA Intermediate Examination held in May. He scored 666 points out of 800.

For Kabra, whose father is a chartered accountant, becoming a CA, he says, was a natural choice. The 20-year-old, who is currently a freshman B.Com student, showed up early for the foundation course exam while still in class 12.
“As I was sure to pursue CA, I was happy to learn that my batch was allowed to sit for the foundation course exam early. Now, after the intermediate (exam), my three years Internships will start and my aim will be to pass the final CA (examination). I hope to complete this with graduation,” said Kabra, who is currently in Pune pursuing his studies at Arihant College.
The country leader likes to read novels in his spare time. But lately, he has been watching comedy shows on OTT platforms to relax. He is currently watching the popular sitcom “The Big Bang Theory”. “I don’t have a favorite series or movie. I keep looking for fun content on OTT. My idea is to have fun enjoying light content and getting back to my routine,” he said. at The Indian Express.
A total of 80,605 candidates presented themselves for Group I, of which 10,717 were elected, recording a success rate of 13.30%. For Group II, out of 63,777 who sat for the exam, 7,943 passed, recording a pass rate of 12.45%. While 24,475 candidates ran for both groups and only 1,337 were elected, registering a pass percentage of 5.46%.
