Shedding light on the books, author Azuh Arinze described them as “distinct”. Adding: “The first, A TASTE OF SUCCESS, is a collection of what anyone wishing to taste success in any field of human activity must do. It is nearly 300 pages and some of the successful Nigerians who have taken the time to share their success stories and whom we have dutifully documented in the book include Chief Segun Osoba, a renowned former governor, journalist and politician; Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, a leading pharmacist and former chairman of Neimeth Pharmaceuticals; Otunba Seni Adetu, former Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria Plc and currently Managing Director of Algorithm Media; Professor Bruce Onobrakpeya, one of Africa’s greatest artists; Aare Dele Momodu, the highly connected editor of Ovation International magazine and presidential candidate; Mr. Kunle Afolayan, famous filmmaker; Professors Okey Ndibe and Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo, two well-known academics and scholars, among many others. Leading Journalist and Editor of Leadership Newspaper, Mr. Azu Ishiekwene, who wrote the foreword, had this to say about the book: assert that if you haven’t read their collection, you won’t go not far in life… In my opinion, the writer has collected a miniature collection of the life stories and careers of eminent and successful people in different fields. It is a worthy and interesting compilation and will make a good collector’s item.
“The second book, CONVERSATIONS WITH SHOWBIZ STARS, as its title suggests, has to do with what anyone interested in succeeding in the glittering and glamorous world of music, film and comedy should do. In fact, I sat down with some of the greatest and most respected in these fields to extract from them how they did and still do. From King Sunny Ade to Femi Kuti, Onyeka Onwenu, 2Face Idibia, Wasiu Ayinde, Tiwa Savage, Ali Baba, Gbenga Adeyinka, Okey Bakassi, Basketmouth, Genevieve Nnaji, Richard Mofe Damijo, Julius Agwu, Ali Nuhu, Kanayo O. Kanayo, to to name just a few. In fact, both books contain 60 of these super exclusive interviews, and they cut across industries and professions.
Mr. Steve Ayorinde, former Editor of The Punch and former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Lagos, wrote the foreword. In his words: “This book blossoms with every page and interview. It contains every nuance of funny, touching, direct and sometimes controversial responses, making it another compelling product of a stylish interviewer and conversationalist.
On his life at 50, Azuh joked, “All I want to say is thank you Lord. For life, for good health, my blessed family, my precious mother, my irreplaceable brothers and sisters, my supportive friends, my selfless mentors and everyone who has supported me and my business in one way or another. of another. I am indeed very, very grateful for how far the Lord has come and for blessing me. Without wanting to sound like another Oliver Twist, all I ask of the Lord is another 50 years. Of course, in good health, mind, body, soul and with the required prosperity.
