How respondents were selected: from the YouGov registration panel, to be representative of all adult U.S. citizens

Who answered: 1,000 adult US citizens

How: online

When: July 19-22, 2022

How the sample was weighted: by gender, age, race and education based on the 2018 American Community Survey, conducted by the US Census Bureau, as well as interest for the news and the 2020 presidential vote (or non-vote)

Margin of error: about 3% for the entire sample
